Multiplex at a Glance

Multiplex Limited is an indigenous private company incorporated in Uganda in 1984, with an initial vision of contributing to the process of reconstruction of the national infrastructure after decades of civil strife and economic decline. Over the last 40 years, the company has grown, leading to restructuring into a group of companies engaged in Construction of Roads, Bridges, Buildings, Power Lines, Dams and Water Works. Multiplex is also engaged in Stone Quarrying, Concrete Products, Asphalt Production, Plant Hire, and Management and Modernisation of Parking in Kampala. In recent years, Multiplex has ventured into driving Information Technology Solutions, for instance the new Parking Management Information System (PMIS).

The company employs over 2000 people in its various activities. Multiplex Limited is one of the large private employers in Uganda. In this respect we are playing a big part in the reduction of unemployment in the country. We have an open employment policy where employees are recruited purely on their own merit and we have a well motivated work force which is result oriented.
